President

President Acevedo brings to the Commission 10 years of experience as an advocate and voice for the differently-abled community of Los Angeles and Glendale. In April 2008, he was recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice for his dedication and hard work on behalf of America's victims of crime. He is a member of the Disabled Access Appeals Commission since September 2008, Vice President of the Commission from July 2009 to October 2010, and served as President from October 2010 to August 2011, and again from December 2014 until present.

Vice President

Vice President Berg has been with the Disabled Access Appeals Commission since April 2014. He was born in San Bernardino, California with a disability known as hypochondroplasia. One of his goals as a commissioner is to ensure that every street intersection in Los Angeles has a wheelchair ramp in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Furthermore, his vision is to equip every single traffic signal and stop sign in the city with an alert tone so that people with visual impairment know when it is safe to cross the crosswalk or street. He was elected Vice-President in December 2014.

Commissioner Harper Halprin became a member of the Disabled Access Appeals Commission in August 2021. Ms. Halprin graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2008. In 2015, she founded her private architectural practice and has had the pleasure of designing many residential and commercial projects across the country. She has played key roles in managing high-end projects for private clients and thoroughly enjoys being able to assist clients in bringing their projects to life.

Dr. Cheryl Revkin

Dr. Revkin became a member of the Disabled Access Appeals Commission in August, 2014. Dr. Revkin has been a leader in her community in local government, business, and social organization for over 40 years. Dr. Revkin has served on over 10 Boards of Directors of community organizations. Dr. Revkin was also chosen as Pioneer Woman of the Year by then-Councilmember Eric Garcetti in 2000.

Commissioner Pat Williams has been a member of the Disabled Access Appeals Commission since August 2014. Ms. Williams has been a life-long community activist, volunteering for many diverse issues such as land conservation, animal advocacy, and HIV / AIDS issues. Since retiring, Ms. Williams held a position on the Commission on the Status of Women. Having been a pioneering women in the non-traditional building trades industry, Ms. Williams' main passion and advocacy is in the Tradeswomen's community, with an emphasis on raising the numbers of women in all phases of non-traditional employment.
