How to Apply for Fee Suspension under Emergency Executive Order No. 7

If your permit application qualifies under the criteria listed below, you may be eligible for a full or partial suspension of fees under Emergency Executive Order No. 7.

 

Qualifying Criteria

 

To qualify, the following must apply:

 

  • You currently own and owned the property at the time of the January 2025 Wildfires, and can provide proof of ownership through a Grant Deed.
  • The permit is for the repair or reconstruction of all buildings that were damaged or destroyed in the January 2025 Wildfires.

Application Instructions

 

Follow the steps below to apply for a Fee Suspension:

 

    1. Download and complete the Affidavit form:

      Affidavit Form

      Be sure to have the form notarized

       

    2. Submit your documents:

      Email the notarized affidivat along with a copy of your Grant Deed to ladbs-fee-suspend@lacity.org

       

    3. Verification Process:

      A LADBS staff member will contact you to schedule a virtual meeting to verify your eligibility and confirm the Fee Suspension.
