The building design is developed contextually and in constant dialogue with the client needs, to find the best possible solution within the constraints of the site, program and budget. The Palisades Garden House

In response to the rebuild efort for the Palisades and Eaton Fires, buttnerreisdias has developed a mediumsize family-oriented home that celebrates the indoor-outdoor life unique to Southern California. The 1730 Sq Ft, 4 Bedroom, 2 Baths multi-generational home features outdoor patios, a roof deck, and living spaces with four-sided views. Mindful of affordability, the bedrooms are grouped in a compact two-story volume, from where they all can face the garden. With one bedroom on the ground floor, the home responds to the growing needs of aging in place.

The home has large aluminum clad wood windows and patio doors. The affordable lightweight construction is protected by fire resistant plaster facades. The gabled roofs have a resilient metal cladding, and the flat roof has a partial green roof that acts as additional fire protection.
